Holy Sonny on the Causeway, what fresh (and hilarious) misstep has AI brought us this week?

Stand up and take a bow, film distributor Lionsgate. They've been caught black-hand handed using AI to write fake critic reviews of Francis Ford Coppola's new Sci-Fi epic Megalopolis.

Even more weirdly the reviews threw shade on some of the best films of all time - The Godfather and Apocalypse Now (In an apparent reference to some of the less-than-glowing reviews they received at the time - all fake)

What to say: "Megalopolis is the new Godfather" - Variety

What not to say: Have you seen my horse?

One of our favourite AI image generators, MidJourney has opened up free images again - and you don't need to use Discord now either. Woop.

You can get a Free trial and create up to 25 images before the paywall hits.

Yes, there are plenty of other image generators out there (Flux, Ideogram, and Dalle-3 are worth a look) but MidJourney still outputs some of the most useful images.

The site is clear and simple to use with some good editing tools and features to keep you engaged:

• Explore: Check what other people are creating.
• Create: Keep a track of all your image masterpieces.
• Organise: Filter your creations by liked, type, image size, version.
• Chat: Tips on prompting and editing.
• Tasks: You can win more free images by doing tasks (this is a bit like reinforcement learning for their images, clever.)
