BAD AI: Google No Gouda
![]() |
Google’s Gemini AI almost pulled a whopper of an own goal in its 2025 Super Bowl ad - claiming that Gouda makes up 50-60% of global cheese consumption - which is whey wrong.
In a mildly ironic turn, the ad was about getting small businesses to trust AI in helping them write product descriptions. You couldn't make it up. Or this.
The big cheeses aren't best pleased either.
Cheddar: An outrageous slur, unbrielievable.
Mozzerella: This feta be a joke.
Context
Hallucinations remain a significant challenge in current Generative AI models, undermining trust in AI systems and their reliability.
We've developed a Four-KPI Accuracy Model, to create high-trust AI - detecting and reducing AI hallucinations for marketing, compliance, and research applications.

AI AGENTS: Google Gemini

Google has updated Gemini with reasoning models, bigger context windows and low-cost options - keeping up to compete with OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek and the rest.
Key Points:
- Reasoning Models: The 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental reasoning model is available - it's similar to o3 and DeepSeek models, showing how it thinks step-by-step before answering.
- Longer Context Windows:: The 2 Pro model can handle 2m tokens - allowing entire books and long videos in a single query (Gemini is probably the best current model for video summaries).
- Low-cost model: 2.0 Flash lite is an upgrade from the 1.5 model and outperforms it on the 'majority of benchmarks' (Google claim). The models are available on Google AI studio to use now.
What This Means:
Google’s AI is becoming more embedded in its ecosystem, making adoption easier but also increasing lock-in risks. Rapid improvements in the other frontier models need to be considered.
Increases in context size are useful, as is adding more reasoning models. For businesses, having a flexible AI approach - using the best models for different tasks and areas - is sensible, but cost and complexity play a part.
Want AI that fits your business, not just Google’s ecosystem? Let’s talk.

AI IN EUROPE: Mistral Le Chat
|
|
Mistral has launched its Le Chat mobile AI assistant for iOS and Android. It's positioning itself as a privacy-first, enterprise-ready alternative, with a strong focus on speed, real-time search, and data sovereignty.
Key Points:
- Enterprise AI with Data Control – Le Chat Enterprise gets flexible deployments, private installation and custom model implementations (i.e. lowering the risks of sending sensitive data to third parties).
- More Secure Governance – Unlike DeepSeek, which operates under Chinese data access regulations, Mistral is a French company governed by GDPR, making it an option for businesses concerned about data jurisdiction.
- Faster Responses and Sources – pulls information from journalistic platforms. Mistral also claims its models can generate up to 1,000 words per second, making it one of the fastest AI assistants available.
What This Means:
For businesses, Le Chat could be an alternative to ChatGPT, Gemini or DeepSeek, especially for companies needing stronger data security and regulatory compliance.
The models aren't quite as good as the competition, so speed and security will need to be joined by stronger performance - and cost - for it to get adopted at scale. Still, it's good to see a European LLM in the mix.
