AI Tips & Tricks - How to Lock Down Your ChatGPT

Want to stop sending your prompts and data to OpenAI?

Previously you had to submit a privacy request but now you can do it all from your own ChatGPT settings.

Just click your profile icon in ChatGPT, go to settings, and then select data controls - as per the image above.

You can now toggle off the setting "Improve the model for everyone" to do this.

Does this now mean you can put highly sensitive, personally identifiable information into ChatGPT without a care in the world?

NO!

Always be mindful and have proper processes and policies in place to ensure you stay safe.

Battle Of The Large Language Models

There's a monster land-grab going on right now with the 3 main AI model players - OpenAI (King Komni) Anthropic (Claudosaurus) and Google (Gemzilla).

Anthropic recently launched the Claude 3.5 Sonnet model and are getting some serious love online for features like artifacts and projects.

OpenAI with ChatGPT 4o is still out in front quality and mindshare-wise. They are also bigging up the potential release of GPT5 this summer.

While Google is slapping everything that moves with the 'Gemini' label, they are also reporting better outputs than GPT on their 1.5 model - (rumours about being included on Apple devices this autumn).

If you've only been using one of the main LLMs, it's well worth trying the others - each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Do say: Fay Wray.

Don't say: Jamiroquai's 1998 Godzilla soundtrack was the bomb.
